As common as Bandages in the medicine cabinets of western families, Zheng Gu Shui and White Flower Oil are essential in the home medicine cabinets in many Chinese families.
Zheng Gu Shui are commonly used for relieving the muscle pain, knee growth pain, night twisted neck. White flower Oil is commonly for inset bits, dizzy, motion sickness (car, sea etc), minor headache, stuffing nose due to cold or flu and muscle pain.
Zheng Gu Shui, translated directly from Chinese, means “bone-setting solution” in Chinese. As its name implies, it penetrates to the bone level to promote healing and stop pain.
Primary Indications
It is primarily used to treat: (1) Fractures, (2) Dislocation, (3) Sprains, (4) Strains, (5) Arthritis.
Zheng Gu Shui is a product highly recommended for active and/or athletic people. Applying it before and after exercise can reduce soreness and strengthen tendons.
DIRECTION & DOSAGE
When applying, soak 2 – 3 cotton balls with Zheng Gu Shui, applying to set bone or affected areas and leave it to dry. Wrap the affected area loosely with gauze.
Leave it on for one hour for the upper body, and one and a half hours for the lower limbs.
In severe cases, apply the cotton to the affected area for one hour, 2 to 3 times a day.
Shorten the time for children. Use it twice a day until the affected area is healed.

Zheng Gu Shui is a red-brown clear liquid with an aromatic smell.
ACTIONS & COMPLAINTS
Action: Invigorating blood circulation and removing blood stasis, relaxing and activating tendons, reducing swelling and easing pain. Complaints: traumatic injury, various fractures, dislocating of joints. It can dissipate fatigue before and after exercises.
ADVERSE REACTION
Pruritus and rashes should appear occasionally.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not take this tincture orally. Do not rub on the wound. Stop administration if pruritus or rashes appear during administration.
Skin irritation test:
Results showed that no irritation reaction was observed when undamaged skin was in contact with Zheng Gu Shui in a single dose, and that no obvious irritation was observed 14 days after continuous contact with Zheng Gu Shui. Back trembling, bleeding under crust and roughness of skin were observed when damaged skin made contact with Zheng Gu Shui in one or more than one dose, but no obvious erythema or edema were observed.
Allergic test:
No allergic reaction was observed when Zheng Gu Shui was externally used on the undamaged skin.
