Tenkei - Marshmallow Candy with Pudding or Chocolate
Posted under Sweets & Snacks by VictoriaTenkei Pudding Marshmallow
The name says it all. To all appearances, the pudding marshmallow looks exactly like a pleasantly stuffed, large, pancake-shaped marshmallow. It has that thick, sweet, almost chocolatey smell that we’ve all come to recognize as the smell of a marshmallow. But the thing that sets it apart is the rich, creamy pudding used as the filling at the very center of the marshmallow. While the pudding is thick and heavy, at the same time it feels almost cool and refreshing to the taste. It blends quite nicely
with the taste of the marshmallow, too.
Just a word of advice, though: these marshmallows are a lot heavier than they seem. I don’t really advise going for more than one or two in one sitting, delicious though they are.
Tenkei Chocolate Marshmallow
The taste is very similar to the pudding flavored one, but with the familiar chocolate filling. This candy was a winner of the 1993 Selection Internationale De La Qualite.
I thought these were a pretty cool spin on the traditional marshmallow.
