Wu Wei Zi, Schisandra Chinensis, in Chinese means “Five Flavor Berry” because you can literally taste all five basic flavors, salty, sweet, sour, pungent (spicy), and bitter, at once when consumed. Studies also revealed that Wu Wei Zi also has protective effects against adriamycin-induced cardiotoxicity.
