Jasmine Tea – A Personal Favorite

Jasmine Green Tea

Jasmin Green Tea

My family has been drinking all kinds of green tea or oolong tea, ever since I could remember. We had green tea as our daily beverage. The tea could be offered as: a welcoming offer to the guests (the best graded one available, of course), a quick refreshing drink during those extreme hot & humid subtropic summer days, a wake-up drink during those hard studying hours, a must to wash aways the heavy meal, special those grease holiday treats, a must for the grownup to recover from the strong Chinese Spirits. Oh, yeah! Those delicious eggs cooked with tea leaves ( Cha- Yeah Dan, Tea eggs) and those super chewy fragrant Jasmine Green Tea Milk Candy only available from Beijing!

Prior 1980′s, the transportation in China was far from perfect. Most of the time, Jasmin Green Tea was the only good tea available in northern part of China.

High Quality Fresh green tea, prepared with freshly picked Jasmine flowers, grow everywhere in Fujian province, Fujian’s Jasmin Green Tea has always been the best with the highest production quantities.

Nowadays, the transportation in China is getting better each year. It is now possible to buy all different kinds of teas from all over China in all major cities. I have access to so many kinds of wonderful teas at all different quality. From Black tea (or Red Tea in China), to Green tea, to Oolong Tea, to Pu Erh to White Tea. From the teas cost $1 per Lb to the teas cost couple hundred dollars per Oz. It is always a wonder to visit all kinds of tea stores in China and … US! However, Jasmine tea still remains on the top of the list of my favorite teas. It always reminds me of those extremely hot yet wonderful summer afternoons: there would always be a pot of Jasmin Green Tea, just right in temperature, waiting for me, sweating from head to toe, from my swim, running, kicking or jumping. No ice pop, no ice cream, Just a huge cup of Jasmin Green Tea with wonderful fragrance of fresh Jasmine flower calmed me right down: my body and soul.
