It has a pH that is similar to that of the skin so it can help to maintain the natural pH and also help to reduce irritation and blemishes and prevent bacterial growth. It is effective in rehydrating and repairing skin.
Women should always choose makeup that is designed to be non-comedogenic, that is it will not clog the pores, and that is oil free. You should not use heavy makeup that can trap oils in the pores as this will encourage the multiplication of bacteria on the skin. Whenever possible you should use products on the skin that are designed to be used by rosacea sufferers as these will not contain irritating ingredients and will be very mild.
Rosacea it can be distressing condition that is difficult to treat and often very long-lasting. It is essential that you use only very mild rosacea skincare products that will not cause further irritation and redness.
